Taffeta fabric is crisp yet smooth to the touch and it holds its shape well. 
Taffeta has a minimal sheen and a crisp weight, and it makes a rustling/ "swish" sound when it rubs together.

Some colors are more/less "crisp" than others and have more/less of a rustling/ "swish" sound.

Taffeta is available in a variety of colors; some are solid in tone while others are "two-tone".
For the two-tone colors, depending on the side that you are looking at, this fabric will change its color.

Taffeta is a "crisp" lightweight fabric that is traditionally used for elegant special occasion clothing. Specially used to make historical gowns and to create a voluminous or fuller effect.

 

When the fabric is gathered color looks darker vs when the fabric lays flat.
